Les Grandes Marques at Monaco - Collector's sports and grand touring, Motorcars and Automobilia. Following the success of Bonhams recent Collector's Motor Car sale in February in Paris at the Grand Palais that realised close to €10 million, Bonhams is delighted to announce the prestigious 'Les Grandes Marques à Monaco' sale in Monte Carlo on the 20th May. Now in its 25th year, Bonhams celebrated sale in Monaco is once again under the patronage of the Grimaldi Family and will be held at the Musée des Voitures du Prince. Monaco's reputation as the heart of luxury lifestyle provides a truly international and cosmopolitan platform for the classic Motor Car market. Monaco holds a unique position in terms of classic car sales, according to Bonhams European Head of Department Philip Kantor, who points out that no fewer than 80% of the cars sold in the Bonhams Monaco sale go to homes outside the principality. Many of the cars go to Europe, the US, Australia and even China, which is one of the reasons Bonhams holds an annual sale in Monaco, as it provides such a superb international platform for classic car sales. |
