This Excel first left the Lotus factory at Hethel in Norfolk in 1991. On file, says the vendor, is full service history, the right-hand drive coupe claimed to be a well cared for example that has proved to be an excellent driver.
The current condition of the separate chassis and GRP body in blue is rated by him as being good, with grey leather interior fair and both the 2.2-litre four-cylinder engine and the five-speed manual transmission reportedly in very good order. The 127,000 miles displayed when entered for this sale is believed to be the genuine total mileage for this GT from new. The latest MOT certificate will be valid until March of next year.
