First seen in 1986, the all new XJ saloon had been a long time in development. The new 3.6, AJ6 engine was first tried in the XJS in 1984 and was initially available as a dohc 3.6 and single cam 2.9. By 1989 the 2.9 was consigned to history and the 3.6 was developed into a 4.0 and a 3.2. The model was finally replaced in 1995 with the X300, which retained the same running gear but gained a completely restyled body.This 1992 example has the 3.2 litre engine and automatic transmission. The car is described as a sound usable example, which has covered 96,000 warranted miles, has an MoT through to February 2008.Finished in BRG with doeskin leather the car has a cherished registration number, which is included in the sale.
