Lot 063: 1937 BENTLEY 4.25 LITRE SALOON
Fine Historic Motor Cars and Motorcycles, H&H Classic Auctions Ltd (21st September 2005)
Finished in green with brown upholstery, this particular example is described by the vendor as having an excellent engine with very good chassis, gearbox, paintwork and bodywork. Carrying handsome saloon coachwork by the renowned firm of H.J. Mulliner, it has had but two keepers in the last twenty-two years (though it was registered to the present owner's company from 1996 - 2002). Reportedly the subject of an engine rebuild in December 1997, it is said to have covered less than 6,500 mile since then. A well proportioned car riding on wire wheels, it is offered for sale with MOT certificate current until 30th May 2006 and historic class (free) road tax until 31st March 2006.
