Lot 135: Porsche 911 Coupe

From its humble beginnings, as a 2.0 litre, flat six successor to the 365 in 1965, the 911 has become one of the worlds most revered automobiles. The model has won in every form of motor sport and maintained a huge following over its 40 year history. By the early seventies the 911 engine had grown to 2.2, then became a 2.4 and then the 2.7, which, in uprated form, powered the highly desirable RS. In the mid 70's the 3.0 barrier was breached and the Turbo was added to the fleet. Here we have a 911S of 1969 vintage, which has been equipped with the later 2.4 litre, flat six engine with mechanical injection. It is finished in black with black interior and is described as being in good, overall condition. Offered with some service history an MoT through to Jan 2009 and tax until the end of this month.
