Lot 31: Dodge PLYMOUTH PROWLER JUNIOR

Chrysler, in recent years, has gained quite a reputation for producing seemingly outlandish concept cars and then putting these forward for production.� One of the earliest of these was the Plymouth Prowler, a retro styled 'Hot Rod' for the 90s.� It was made available to the public in 1992 and the first lucky buyers were offered the option of a 2/3 scale powered replica (complete with the camping trailer, optional on the real car), finished, of course, in Prowler Purple.�Manufactured for Chrysler by Midwestern Industries, this example was purchased in the US by the vendor from a friend who had taken up this option when purchasing his Prowler.� The Junior had been displayed on a stand along side the car but, alas, more space was needed for a growing collection.� The vendor too has only displayed the Junior and it has never been run.� Built on a kart-like chassis, it is powered by a small OHV 4-stroke engine with both pull and electric starters and seats, and is complete with its trailer.� All the delivery labels are in place and the car is ready to be prepared for use if so desired.
