Lot 03: Jaguar XJS-C
Classic & Historic Automobile, BCA (2nd October 2007)
Currently proving to be a most worthy modern classic, the XJS Cabriolet offers a fine combination of style, performance and practicality.A 1988 model, this example, finished in Silver with red leather trim, has been owned by the vendor for the past four years and is said to drive really well, with all mechanical components reported as being in good order. The brakes have benefited from new discs and pads being fitted to the rear and a long-life stainless steel exhaust system is fitted. A welcome addition is the recently renewed Pioneer sound system. The car would appear to have undergone refurbishment in various areas and is said to be of good appearance. The black hood is the original item whilst the burgundy leather is said to have a pleasing patina. The car is offered for sale due to an impending move to France necessitating a reduction of the vendor's collection.
