Lot 1401: BSA WD B40
Vintage MotorCycles, Cheffins (26th April 2008)
Previously owned by a technical consultant to the BSAOC who carried out a full engine rebuild inc' the provision of a new alloy barrel and std piston, crank rebuild, new valves and guides, new alternator, clutch plates, primary chain, and gear selector shaft. Whilst in the current ladies ownership the good intentions of converting it to a trials bike have had to take a back seat to business commitments, indeed the machine has not been used at all in the last 12 months and the owner states that whilst no mileage has been covered and some running in is still required, a new brake cable and lower carb' assembly have been fitted along with a new battery and provision of a new MOT. Painted in the original military green the B40 comes with many receipts covering the engine re-build and V5 document, the 350 BSA is ready to go as is or ripe for conversion to a pre-65 accepted off roader.
