Lot 095: 1967 MG B GT
Fine Historic Motor Cars, H&H Classic Auctions Ltd (23rd November 2005)
Finished in red with black vinyl upholstery piped in white, this particular MGB GT is variously described by the vendor as being in good (electrical equipment, interior trim, paintwork), very good (bodywork) or excellent (1798cc four-cylinder engine, four-speed plus overdrive manual gearbox) condition. Reportedly "restored throughout '90s", it benefits from "electronic ignition, recon wires, working overdrive on 3rd & 4th, new starter motor, full length Britax sunroof and four recent Goodyear tyres". Said to be "structurally solid with new sills", it has apparently been both "waxoyled and ziebarted". Afflicted by an intermittently working tachometer and small rip to the front seat, it is believed to have covered 70,100 miles on the current Goldseal engine. One of the desirable 'chrome-bumpered' models, it is offered for sale with "3-inch history file", MOT certificate valid until 24th October 2006 and historic class (free) road tax until 31st December 2005.
