The Panther company based its design on the classic Jaguar SS100 and used many existing Jaguar parts including the engines. During the company's ten years in production it produced 500 of these wonderful touring cars. Clients' needs were very much put first and one could have a choice of specification including the colour of the bodywork and interior and the engine specification which comprised the XK 3.8 and 4.2 litre straight sixes and the V12. The J72 proved very successful, not least due to the very high standard of the coachwork which drew great accolades at the 1973 London Motor Show. This 1977 Panther J72 is a very good example of the company in its prime. With a very desirable matching black exterior and interior, it is equipped with the Jaguar 4.2 twin overhead camshaft engine. Described as in very good overall condition both mechanically and cosmetically, it has 57,520km recorded on the odometer and is also French registered.
