Lot 37: Triumph TR6

Introduced in 1969, the Triumph TR6 was to achieve considerable success on both sides of the Atlantic, as its predecessors had. As with the TR5, the new model was powered by the 2�-litre, 6-cylinder engine with Lucas fuel injection. The styling, however, was entirely new with Karmann having produced an up-to-the-minute and purposeful design. The TR6 became one of the most highly regarded sports cars of its era, offering exhilarating motoring with effortless power and today, as with all TRs, the model enjoys a strong following and excellent club support. A 1974 model finished in Sapphire blue with black trim, this TR6 has been in the vendor's care for the past six years and is now offered for sale due to a forthcoming house move. The black vinyl hood is a replacement item, as are the seats and carpets, and the optional overdrive is fitted.
