Lot 128: 2001 Ferrari 360 Coupe

Ferrari 360 is the name given to three models of Ferrari cars: the Ferrari 360 Modena, an enclosed two-door coupe; the Ferrari 360 Spider, a two-door convertible; and the Ferrari Challenge Stradale, the bare-bones version of the 360 Modena. The Ferrari 360 Modena has a 3.6 litre V8 engine producing 400bhp+ and accelerating from 0-62mph in 4.3 secs. All have eight-cylinder engines and aluminum chassis.Intended as successor to the F355, the 360 Modena (named after the town of Modena, the birthplace of Enzo Ferrari) features styling by Pininfarina and an improved mid-mounted V8 engine; it is the first production Ferrari to be constructed entirely of aluminium. Its six-speed gearbox is available as a manual or F1 electrohydraulic shift. The car went into production in 1999.The Ferrari 360 as one of the most recent production models is a superb example of Ferrari's current dominance of modern sports car manufacture. The example on offer here is appropriately finished in one of the traditional Ferrari colours of Giallo Fly with black leather interior and a manual gear box. The car has had only one owner from new and during his ownership has covered a mere 11,500 kms. Options include the optional red brake callipers and black leather head lining.
