Lot 125: Rolls-Royce Corniche

The 2 door version of the Silver Shadow was originally launched in 1965 as the Mulliner Parkward FHC. This continued until 1971 when production was taken in house and the model was renamed Corniche. This new regime involved the cars being transported from Crew to London and back to Crew for finishing. In 1976, as with the saloon, the improved version was launched with rack and pinion steering, split-level air conditioning, American specified, impact bumpers and numerous other detailed changes.Offered here is a 1979 Corniche II, which is said to have had just two previous owners and has been in the vendors ownership for 11 years.Finished in Nutmeg over Champagne with Champagne hide, the car is equipped with the trusty 6.7 litre V8, which is mated to a three-speed, automatic transmission.
