Ducati is one of the worlds leading manufacturers of high performance motorcycles. Founded in 1926, Ducati has a legendary name in world motorcycling and is widely recognised as producing some of the finest road and race bikes of all time . These motorcycles are characterised by unique engine features, innovative design, advanced engineering and overall technical excellence. With an extensive racing pedigree dating to the 1950s, Ducati motorcycles have always continued to play a major role in the history and development of motorcycle racing.Legendary Australian racing driver Troy Bayliss joined Ducati in 2000. He finished an impressive 6th in his first season and was Superbike World champion in 2006 with Ducati. Todays Ducati 996 is a works bike, which probably served as a spare or training bike during the 2000 season for Troy. Recently this powerful bike has been comprehensively rebuilt at the Ducati works to as new condition. When new a Ducati 996 Racing costed in excess of £ 80,000, making this fantastic bike an attractive propsoition for the motor cycle collector and enthusiast.
