Lot 10: MG Midget 1500

The most enduring of all MG model designations, the first M-Type Midget was introduced in 1929 and, apart from a short break between 1955 and 1961, the Midget name was to remain in the MG line-up until 1979 with the final series.  Always great fun to drive and appealing to all ages, the Midget remains a firm favourite and today, as with all MGs, benefits from excellent club support and spares availability making it an ideal small car for regular use offering, as it does, lively performance with good fuel economy. It is one of the final series offered for sale here, finished in white with black interior trim and in quite exceptional order, with just 6,347 miles recorded at time of writing.  In the hands of its first owner for some 23 years, the car has extensive history as well as MOT certificates to substantiate the exceptionally low mileage. Rustproofed from new, the car is presented in virtually 'as new' condition and is offered with the original folder containing the service book, handbook etc. along with a V5 registration document and MOT certificate valid until 8th May 2008.
