Lot 1399: Ducati 944SS
Vintage MotorCycles, Cheffins (26th April 2008)
A real machine of singular purpose, going fast! The modified 900SS carries a full Ducati service history up to 1998 at which point nearly 2,000 was spent on 944cc heads and Cosworth pistons, the work was carried out at 10,000 miles by Carl Harrison of Chris Clarke Motorcycles and has been maintained by him ever since. The cam-belts were changed in 2005 and 2007 regardless of mileage and has recently had new tyres, sprockets and chain fitted. Its current lady owner, who has set her sights on a new machine states that the Duke runs more akin to a 996 and has never missed a beat in her four years of ownership. The six speed V twin is supplied with V5 documentation and an MOT valid until May 2009 and of course that glorious Ducati sound.
