Lot 40: MG B ROADSTER

Supplied new by Caffyns Ltd of Maidstone and first registered on 22nd September 1976, this MG B Roadster has remained in the original owner's hands until now. Smartly finished in Chartreuse yellow  a very popular colour at the time  the car has covered just 84,945 miles at time of writing. During 1989, we are advised that a complete rebuild by a well known specialist was undertaken at considerable expense. Originally maintained and repaired by the local MG dealership and latterly by a well known specialist, the car has been extremely well cared for and is now reluctantly offered for sale due to ill health. The engine is modified for use with unleaded fuel and the carburettors have recently been overhauled, whilst the braking system has also benefited from an overhaul within the last few months. The car's mechanical order is, we are assured, good throughout and a stainless steel exhaust system has been fitted. The black hood is a replacement item and the carpets have also been renewed.
