Lot 115: Bentley Turbo R LWB

The Turbo R was another step in the progression towards a more sporting image for the Marque and the realisation that the sporting heritage of Bentley had been ignored by Rolls Royce for too long. With its turbo charged 6.7 litre V8 engine, tuned suspension and uprated brakes, the Turbo R could provide the luxury and finesse usually associated with a Bentley but the model also had a sporting side, which became evident when one depressed the throttle with a little more urgency. The Turbo R could waft it's occupants to 60mph in 6.3 seconds and top 135mph. This Brewster green LWB example is equipped with, special order, St. James (red) leather and is said to be complete with full service history. The car is equipped with all of the usual options plus satellite navigation, the Flying B bonnet mascot and is said to be in excellent condition throughout. This excellent example of the Turbo R is only being sold due to relocation abroad.
