Lot 005: 1924 MORRIS COWLEY BULLNOSE VAN
Motor Car Sale, H&H Classic Auctions Ltd (21st February 2006)
Whilst naturally the majority of derivatives manufactured were cars, in one guise or another, Morris also made other body styles which included the van. This has proved over the years to be extremely popular and very useful and no more so than in modern times where they create masses of interest wherever they go and are therefore extremely viable advertising mediums.
This delightful example has been with the present owner since 1967 and he completed a full restoration which took some ten years originally in the Whitbread livery with which it won its class in the 1977 London to Brighton. It is now resplendent in the livery of Weston's Cider and will really stand out in any gathering of classic and vintage machinery.
Described as being in good condition throughout, a vehicle of this quality will naturally come with an MOT until the end of this year but is registered as a SORN vehicle for road fund licence purposes. A rare and highly desirable vehicle which is accompanied by the ever increasingly rare cherished original registration number as detailed above.
