Lot 123: Rolls-Royce Corniche Coupe

Based on the Silver Shadow, the 2 Door Corniche was originally known as the Mulliner Parkward Coupe, when launched in 1965. The Corniche title was adopted in 1971 when the production was taken in-house and only the finishing touches supplied by the Coachbuilder. This involved the cars being transported from Crew to London and back to Crew for final finishing.This 1972 Corniche Coupe is said to have been in the same family with the Chairman of Norwich Union Insurance a recent keeper. The V5 shows only 4 registered keepers since Oct 1972.Finished in blue with magnolia hide, the car is described as being in superb order throughout, having covered less than 75,000 miles from new and having benefited from a full repaint and meticulous maintenance throughout its life.The Corniche is grossly undervalued at the moment. Full service history examples with single family ownership and low miles are real bargains but this will not remain so for very long.
