Lot 1416: BSA Sloper

Vintage MotorCycles, Cheffins (26th April 2008)

The 1930's saw BSA desperate to try and cover all potential markets and they introduced the 596cc Sloper to run against their own upright models. The latter found more favour and in 1935 the Sloper was dropped after just three years. What is on offer is one of the first of these being a 1932 model in kit form. Most of the rolling chassis appears to be present although the original engine is not. In its place is a 600cc side-valve motor which the vendor states once did service in the frame. Bearing it's SE London registration number, this is one for an enthusiast looking for an unusual project. An old style log book is supplied which will aid retention of the registration number.
