Lot 201: BSA 250cc C15T Trials machine
Vintage and Collectors Motorcycles, Bonhams (20 June 2009)
Hard on the heels of the BSA C15 Star came a trials version, building on the model's torquey OHV engine unit. The C15T had a high-clearance frame with bash plate and tucked-in exhaust with special tank and optional lighting equipment. The engine was tuned for trials and the model proved to be a worthy alternative to the 'Tiger Cub' both at club and national levels, successful enough to be retained in the BSA range until 1965, virtually un-changed. This October 1959 C15T, a matching-number example, is in 'as used' condition. Lightly modified, it will be easy to restore to original or to update for today's vintage trials with the huge number of components available. There is a V5 present as well as a continuation RF.60 document
