‘The size and grandeur of the car… deceive one about the performance which would do justice to many a car of more sporting pretensions. The finish, both in detail and the broader sense of equipment and trim is superb. The excellence of the interior is the sort which only skilled craftsmen can achieve using traditional materials with modern manufacturing aids of durability. Dry barn stored for the past 15 years, this S3 saloon is offered for restoration and sold strictly as viewed. Some refurbishment would seem to have been undertaken already, the front suspension appearing ‘as new’, while the engine is reported as running only three months ago. The car is finished in brown/gold with grey leather upholstery to the front seats and red to the rear. There are no documents with the vehicle, which was previously registered ‘137 HJJ’ (since removed) and is offered without reserve. An exciting opportunity for the enthusiast to acquire at relatively modest cost a car which, when restored, should provide many miles of high quality motoring in the grand manner.
