Lot 277A: 1958 Jensen 541 De Luxe

Originally shown at the 1953 Earls Court Motor Show, then at the 1954 show, the new 541 model was delivered to customers in early 1955. The power unit was the same Austin 3993cc six-cylinder that was being used on the current interceptor model. A unique feature of the 541's styling was the front-hinged bonnet flap that could be opened or closed from a control mounted under the dash. Including prototypes, 173 standard 541s were built of which 53 were De Luxe Models. This model was distinguished by being fitted with the latest version of Dunlop disc brake on all four wheels.Attractivel finished in green with a contrasting beige interior this fine example is described by its owner as "good in all areas". The car is accompanied by various Invoices detailing restoration work, V5, and valid MOT certificate.
