Lot 368: 1965 Honda 150cc C95
Collectors' Motor Cars and Motorcycles, Bonhams (15th November 2006)
Honda’s C95 was introduced in 1958 and enjoyed a production run lasting until 1967. It was powered by an inclined twin cylinder, overhead camshaft engine with bore and stroke of 49x61mm, displacing 154.6cc. Revving to 9,500rpm it developed 13.5bhp, leaving most of its European competitors in the shade. The machine appears to be to original specification in all major respects although the battery box cover is missing. Paperwork on file confirms that it was MoT tested until August 2005. At that stage the recorded mileage was 10,686, the current speedometer reading. Although the Swansea registration document has not been located we can confirm that this vehicle has a current Statutory Off Road Notification. Should the registration document not materialise prior to the sale it will be a straightforward matter for the successful purchaser to apply to the DVLA for a replacement document.
