When the original 6-Series went out of production in 1989, BMW had no replacement. When they finally introduced a new coupe, it was not a 6-Series replacement, it was a whole new model range with a 4.0 V8 or a 5.0 V12 under the bonnet. The 8 Series was the definitive 90's coupe and the 4.0 V8 was the one to own. Fast, reliable and amazingly economical, for a 145mph+ coupe. This example of the 840 is said to have covered only 71000 miles. This is supported by BMW Main Agent history to 49000 miles and by BMW Specialists up to 65000 miles. The vendor does say that the car is due an oil service.Finished in green with grey leather interior, the car is equipped with the automatic transmission, has all of the usual options associated with the model and is said to be in good condition, with only 3 previous owners.
