Lot 037: 1961 BSA B40
Collectors' Motorcycles, H&H Classic Auctions Ltd (8th June 2008)
BSA introduced the 250 cc OHV unit construction C15 in 1958, but it was not until 1961 that the 350 cc B40 appeared, and then only for a few years as it was to go out of production in 1965. During its brief life a large proportion of the production found its way into military service and some survive in military trim, though the machine offered today is in the more desirable civilian trim and is described as being in restored condition, with a recorded mileage of just 5587 miles.
