Lot 118: 1961 Fiat 1200 Spyder

The Fiat 1200 Spyder is a derivative of the Fiat 1100 TV, a styling exercise by Pininfarina of which only approximately have survived. Despite its humble underpinnings, it is a lively little car producing some 60 bhp, which, together with the light weight of just 920 kg provides adequate performance. The charming looks are sure to turn heads wherever this pretty Spyder turns up. This 1961 Fiat Cabriolet on offer today is in a very original condition and never been restored, and has formed part of a museum for the last twenty years. The coach work was designed and built by the legendary Turin based designer Pininfarina. It comes with a very rare black factory hard top roof.
