Lot 122: Jaguar E-Type SI 4.2 Roadster
Classic Collectors & Historic Cars, Barons (23rd October 2007)
Despite the passage of some 32 years since its final demise, the E-Type maintains its position at the top of the list of most desirable sports car list. The most desirable of the range was the S1 Roadster, which still commands the highest prices today.Offered here is a Series 1, 4.2 Roadster, which has been the subject of a major restoration at considerable expense, which is in addition to the 11000 spent during 2006/2007.Finished in silver grey with red leather, the car is complete with a factory hard top, in addition to the hood, a Heritage Certificate, 13 previous MoT certificates and old buff Log Book. The history confirms the low owners and appears to support the 72,000 as being correct, though it is not warranted as such. The best model, in the best colour combination and fully restored. What more could one ask?
