Produced in a new San Jose plant in California, Ford's Pony car was an instant hit when launched in April 1964 when the first of many versions that were to follow down the years commanded a premium from Muscle Car enthusiasts with dollars to burn. The Mustang was offered with five engine options in either 6 or 8-cylinder form in three styles of body, coupe, fastback or, as with the car offered here, convertible.Built in 1972, this very American Mustang soft-top is presented today in red with white interior and has automatic transmission, power-assistedbrakes and steering,and labour saving power-hood. In receipt of an older restoration and some uprating to specification, the open car has alloy wheels and a detailed engine bay for the Ford US 4-barrel V8.Paperwork includes V5 confirming JYV 22K registration, four old MOTs and latest certificate valid until December, and current tax disc.
