Lot 121: Jaguar XJR Supercharged V8
Jaguar Heritage and Classic Cars, Barons (1st May 2007)
No sooner had the X300 arrived than Jaguar were producing sporting versions. Not satisfied with a very nice, 3980cc, dohc, all alloy engine with a bit of JaguarSport tweaking, as in the old XJR, the new car added a Supercharger to the mix and 300 brake horse power was the result. Once driven never forgotten and wow! are frequently used phrases when it comes to the XJR. In 1996 the 4.0 six was replaced with the 4.0 V8 from the XX8 but retained the supercharger. Both BHP and torque were increased .The car is offered complete with original video, handbooks, 18" alloy wheels, cruise control and has both tax and MoT through to October 2007. These Supercharged XJR's offer more performance per £ than anything available in the market place. Enthusiast owned, main dealer maintained examples offer even more in the way of value and assurance.
