Lot 24: Rolls-Royce SILVER SPIRIT

Announced in October as successors to the Silver Shadow II, the Silver Spirit and its long wheelbase counterpart, the Silver Spur, boasted many entirely new features although the venerable 6750cc engine remained.� The new models were praised by the motoring press who found the road holding to be much improved by virtue of the all-round coil and wishbone suspension which featured oleo-pneumatic units to control the ride level.� As always, equipments and furnishing were to the highest order and the new styling was both distinctive and extremely tasteful.First registered on 1st October 1981, the Silver Spirit offered for sale here is finished in Light Oyster with tan upholstery.� A total repaint was carried out two years ago to a very good standard and the car's coachwork and structure are, we are assured, in good, sound order.�The recorded mileage, which currently stands at 84,500, is believed by the vendor to be correct and most of the previous MOT certificates are supplied. �Also included are a V5 registration document and the original warranty details from Rolls-Royce Motors, along with the delivery note and various service and parts invoices etc.� A recently renewed MOT certificate is also provided.
