It is hard to believe that 48 years have passed since the launch of the Jaguar MKII. It is even more remarkable to note that demand for this Iconic classic remains undiminished, with specialists offering modernised versions for �50,000+ and restored, unmodified cars, still achieving excellent prices.The styling of the MKII is timeless, the performance is more than adequate and ownership is made simple via a huge spares and specialist repair network, which will ensure the future of the model for many years to come.Offered here is a 3.4 version, which is equipped with the, highly desirable, 4-speed manual transmission + overdrive, which is denoted by the DN in the chassis number. The car left the Browns Lane factory on the 5th October, 1962 and was supplied new to an American serviceman, based in the UK, as an export market car. The car remained in the UK until 1983 when the owner took the car back to Arizona USA where it stayed until 1997. The next chapter in this MKII's life starts with Rugby Classics who imported it from Arizona in 1997 and carried out and engine rebuild and gearbox overhaul before retailing the car to a gentleman from Bristol. After 10 years it was acquired by Chiltern Sports and Prestige Ltd, who supplied the car to the vendor in May 2007 for use at his sisters wedding. Having performed that task it is now surplus to requirements.Finished in white with red leather interior, the car is described as being in exceptional condition throughout. It's history appears to suggest that the vendor is the third private owner and a 14 year spell in arid Arizona has ensured that the car has not been attacked by the dreaded tin worm.
