Lot 225: Ford Granada Limousine
Classic Americana + Classic & Collectors Motor Car, Barons (22nd July 2008)
Limousines based on standard Ford chassis can be traced back to the 1950's but it was the 1st and 2nd generation Granada saloons, which really lent themselves to successful conversions by Nicholson, Crown Deed, Wilcox and Coleman Milne.
Offered here is a 1983 example of a Nicholson conversion on a 2.8 MKII Granada. The car is said to have covered just 39,000 miles in 25 years and is described as being in good condition throughout.
With the extended body the car will now seat 7 passengers and the driver. The rear compartment contains the original, fixed rear seat and a pair of fold-away, occasional seats. There is a division between the driver and the rear compartment.
The car is finished in black and is equipped with the 2.8 V6 engine and three-speed auto transmission.
