Lot 047: 1932 CITROEN C4 IX ROSALIE SALOON

Finished in blue over black with light brown cloth and vinyl upholstery, this particular left-hand drive example is described by the vendor as variously being in condition 1 (chassis), condition 2 (engine, gearbox, electrical equipment, interior trim, wheels / tyres) or condition 2-3 (bodywork, paintwork). Treated to a front axle overhaul (springs, steering, brakes) last year, other recent mechanical work has seen its rear springs removed, re-greased, and reinstalled. While, cosmetically it has benefited from new running boards, sundry re-chroming (radiator front / top, indicator covers) and the re-enamelling of its Citroen badge. Said to be suffering from a faulty ammeter (the unit shows the charging rate but no discharge), this practical four-door saloon has been in the current ownership since 26th November 2002. Originally manufactured in Paris (or so an accompanying letter from the Citroen Car Club states), it is offered for sale with MOT certificate current until 11th July 2006 and historic class (Free) road tax until 31st July 2006.
