Lot 088: 1962 WOLSELEY 16/60 SALOON

Finished in maroon over grey with grey leather upholstery, this rare 16/60 saloon was first registered on 31st July 1962. Believed but not warranted to have covered less than 49,000 miles from new, it is said to have had just two previous owners. Reportedly restored by the vendor's late husband in 1996, it won third prize at the Wolseley National Rally in 2001. Equipped with a 1622cc four-cylinder engine mated to automatic transmission, it sports a period Radiomobile stereo. Offered for sale with the cherished number plate '4883 UK', it also comes with a MOT certificate valid until December 23rd 2005 and road tax until January 2006.
