Lot : Porsche 928 S2

The second of the water-cooled Porsches, the 928 was introduced in 1977, one year after the 924. It was originally intended that this new model was to be a replacement for the 911. However, demand for the 'traditional' Porsche ensured this was not to happen. The 928 was a grand tourer in the true meaning of the term, both luxuriously equipped and superbly built. The original 4½-litre V8 gave an output of 240bhp, this being enlarged to 4.7 and subsequently 5 litres from 1985.Finished in metallic Silver Grey, this 928 S2 dates from 1986 and has the optional automatic transmission. In the current ownership for the past six years, the car is reluctantly offered for sale as it is no longer able to accommodate a growing family. The vendor advises us that he has had the cam belt changed and maintained the vehicle correctly on a regular basis and describes the car as being 'a very good example of the 928 S2'.
