Introduced in 1967, the 3.0, MGC was aimed at the hole in the market left by the Big Healey's, which were now out of production. Despite offering 118mph, reasonable acceleration and over 20mpg, only 9000 MGC's were built, split, almost equally between Roadster and GT, before the model was dropped in 1969. The C is therefore, quite a rarity when compared to the MGB.This late example of the CGT has been mechanically upgraded to competition "Sprint" specification with Triple DCOE Webber carburettors. The car also has an unleaded engine, which was rebuilt in 1999, stainless steel exhaust (2005), full length Webasto sunroof fitted in 2003 and was fitted with new black leather interior, piped green, in 2004.Said to offer great performance, the car sits on wire wheels fitted with Bridgestone tyres and is described as being a smart, practical and eminently usable car, which is in generally good order. The car is offered complete with a Heritage Certificate and a comprehensive history file.
