Lot 585: 1992 Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evolution One

The ultimate track day weapon, yet full road legal, this Integrale Evolution One has been built by Integrale guru Peter Ward, of Racing Technologies Ltd, London. This car, we understand, offs shattering performance – 0-60-0mph in 5.9 seconds, 154mph (clocked on the M40!) and a best Goodwood lap of 1m 33secs. Depending on the electronically variable turbo boost setting, the tuned 8-vale engine produces up to 318bhp on over-boost (185bhp standard) with over 320lb/ft of torque available at 4,000rpm. Specification highlights include: fully ported big-valve cylinder head, Abarth camshafts, competition injectors, up-rated turbocharger, competition gap-less piston rings, lightened and balanced bottom end, up-rated Mintex clutch and baffled sump.
The Waxoyled bodyshell incorporates a Safety Devices Group N roll cage (with door bars) front turret tubes and bronze-tinted polycarbonate window set, while the interior boasts lightweight Sparco race seats with full harness belts, passenger foot brace and pushbutton starter.
Suspension upgrades included modified Koni Sport dampers with camber adjustment, competition dual-rate springs (for acceptable on-road ride quality), Powerflex suspension bushes and 19mm rear anti-roll bar. Grooved and drilled Tarox brake discs all round help restrain the stupendous straight-line performance, the 320mm-diameter fronts being gripped by 6-pot competition clippers fitted with Mintex racing pads. Finished in Winner Red, the car rolls on 16” Speedline alloy wheels should with Bridgestone 205/45 Poll Position tyres. Kerb weight is 1,150kg, compared to the standard car’s 1,370kg, some of this weight saving having been achieved by removing the rear seats.
Left-hand drive, of course, and described by the vendor as in ‘A1’ condition in every department, this most exciting ‘stealth hatch’ is running on the button and is offered with V5 registration document and current MoT through June 2009.
