Lot 10: Porsche 911 Targa
Vintage, Classic and Collectors' Motor Vehicles, BCA (7th October 2008)
Conceived as the successor to the 356 model, the 911 entered production during 1963 and has achieved phenomenal success, undergoing continuous development throughout its life, with the air-cooled flat six engine progressively enlarged. Otherwise only subtle changes in its body styling have meant that the 911 has remained instantly recognisable and largely undated. Always a delightful car to drive, the 911 remains a firm favourite amongst enthusiasts.
A 1974 example, this 911 Targa is smartly finished in red and reported as being in good mechanical condition and to be structurally and bodily sound. Fuchs wheels are fitted and the car is to be offered with an MOT certificate current until July 2009, along with a Swansea V5C document.
