Lot 343A: 1969 Jagaur 420G Saloon

The 420 saloon and it's predecessor, the S type, is a direct development of Jaguar's Mk2, and whilst often overshadowed by it's famous forbear, offers the improved performance of the larger 4.2 litre six cylinder engine coupled with the added luxury of an even more accommodating interior. Here was truly accomplished saloon car offering unrivaled levels of performance and comfort at a genuinely affordable price. Built in 1969, the last year of production, this beautiful example is largely in original condition but has been the subject of a complete bare metal re spray about 3 years ago.The current and only third owner from new has exhibited and won many concours competitions in Scotland where the car has resided. Finished in Brown with contrasting tan interior, it is descrided as being in immaculate condition, and comes with a complete tool kit and much original paperwork and current MoT.
