Lot 235: Riley RME Saloon
Annual Transport Auction Car, Peter Francis (19th April 2008)
Having manufactured its first car in 1898, the RM series of Riley's are considered by many to be the last "Real" Riley's later becoming badge "Engineered" look-alikes under the BMC banner. The immediate post war RM Salons are appreciated for their sporting nature, looks & good handling. Carmarthenshire owner reports: two former keepers, bought in 2006 with a view to full restoration but too many projects don't allow the time needed. Needs respray & some interior work although is original. "Fairly Good" mechanically. Last on road in 2003. No MOT.
