Lot 108: Morris Minor Traveller
Classic, Collectors & Sports Cars, Barons (27th October 2009)
The legendary Morris Minor, which evolved into the Morris 1000, dates back to 1948. This was the first great success of Alec Issigonis and was launched despite the less than enthusiastic noises from those in charge of Morris at the time. When production ceased in 1971 nearly 1.6 million had been sold. These included convertibles, four door and two door saloons and travellers (estates)
Offered here is a 1964 Traveller, which has recently featured as Humphrey in the BBC Cbeebies hit TV series GIGGLEBIZ. It is complete with a recent invoice for 1535 for MoT repairs in September 2009, plus historic bills for a further 5000 worth of work.
Finished in cream with red/cream interior, the car starts on the button and drives well. The woodwork is sound, the interior is clean and the chassis and body very sound.
A great opportunity to acquire an early Traveller with television history.
