Unusually, Buick favoured overhead valves when most American manufacturers were content with side valves. This example did not originate from the main factory in Flint, Michigan, but from the subsidiary McLaughlin factory in Oshawa, Ontario. Claiming 'Empire Made', Buicks were able to circumvent the McKenna duties levied in the UK on imported cars in the early 1920s.

First registered in Plymouth, as borne out by the supplier's plate on the dash from the Princess Motor Co, Princess Square, Plymouth, CO 4904 was issued in about August 1922.

The leatherette upholstery is in good condition for its age and should clean up satisfactorily, but the steel-framed hood will require recovering. A rug rail is fitted to the back of the front seat. A feature of the body is the upholstered door cappings, fitted to prevent damage to the paint from repeated hand contact. Under the bonnet everything is clean; an updraught Marvel carburettor is fitted, and coil ignition. Fixed wood artillery wheels carry detachable rims and 31 x 4.40 ins. tyres, at the rear is a folding luggage rack and the spare rim and tyre. This handsome tourer also has a period brass AA badge.
