Lot 249: Austin 16 Light Saloon
True Greats, Coys (4 December 2004)
Bought, initially, as a restoration project in 1976. This superb example of early British automotive engineering was acquired by the present owners family and passed to Southstoke Restoration Ltd and then Alan Dyson Restoration in Oxfordshire, pre-war and classic specialists. Great care was taken to ensure that this car was able to transport its passengers for years to come. Later, in 2002, all hoses and pumps were removed, replaced where necessary and reinstalled. General servicing work was undertaken including battery replacement, plugs, electrical renovation and braking adjustments and further remedial work was undertaken
