Lot 045: 1976 JAGUAR XJC 4.2

OVT 195P was in receipt of bodywork refurbishment and a repaint 1988-89, the interior re-trimmed using Italian Nappa leather for the seats and West of England cloth for the headlining 1989-90, and was off the road 1994-1996 when engine, brakes and steering were overhauled. All this work, which is said to have cost ú12,776, has been very fully detailed in the vehicle's paperwork, which may be perused in out documents office at the sale venue. The rebuilt bodyshell has panels painted in Sage Green, described by the vendor as currently being in excellent condition; the wheels, alloy ones, and tyres are said to be as new. The 4.2-litre six-cylinder engine has, of course, been rebuilt nine years ago and the three-speed automatic transmission reconditioned more recently in 2003. The current MOT certificate will be valid until February of next year.
