Lot 005: 1971 FIAT 500L

Finished in yellow with black vinyl upholstery, this particular example is variously rated by the vendor as being in good (gearbox, electrical equipment, interior trim and wheels / tyres) or excellent (chassis, bodywork and paintwork) condition. Acquired in part restored condition (new wings and front panel), its refurbishment was completed last year. Having been de-rusted the body was sprayed inside and out and wax treated, while the engine was stripped and rebuilt with new bearings and seals. Other work included the cleaning and repainting of various mechanical parts, the replacement of sundry hoses / seals and the renewal of the folding fabric sunroof. Believed by the current owner to have covered 54,000 miles from new, this appealing right-hand drive 500L is offered for sale with MOT valid until 21st April 2006 and road tax until May 2006.
