Lot 31: Ferrari 328 GTS

Developed from the Pininfarina-styled 308 GTB/GTS, the 328 Series, debuted in the autumn of 1985 at the Frankfurt Show.  The V8 engine was to benefit from an increase in capacity to 3.2-litres, which equated to a power output of 270bhp and the top speed was now claimed to be in excess of 160mph.  Despite the fact that the styling had first appeared in 1975, subtle revisions were to ensure that the beautiful lines retained their appeal.  Between 1985 and 1988, a total of 7,412 GTB and 6,068 GTS models were built.First registered in 1987 and finished in the timeless colour scheme of Rosso red with cream hide interior trim, this 328 GTS is understood to have covered just 28,000 miles and has full Ferrari service history.  The specification includes climate control, Kenwood stack CD player, tracker and a remote Cobra Category 1 alarm.All previous MOT certificates, service records etc. are included in the leather wallet, along with the handbooks and tool roll.  Reported to be one of the rare, non ABS, UK specification cars, of which just 250 were built, this motor car is understood to be in unmarked condition and in good mechanical order all round, commensurate with its low recorded mileage.  A reluctant sale, it is to be offered with the aforementioned documentation together with a Swansea V5 and current MOT certificate valid until 11th August 2006.
