Lot 78: Peugeot 205 Gti Racecar

The Varey-prepped 1.6-litre, allegedly producing 179bhp, is reportedly in good order as is the Peugeot Sport close-ratio gearbox. The Quantum/Leda suspension is fully adjustable and there is ingenious coil-over rear suspension, which won 750MC's Colin Chapman Award for Engineering Excellence. The shell with fair paintwork in red and blue has been lightened to 720kg in race trim.
