Lot 331: 1977 Porsche 911 3.0 Carrera

The Porsche 911 is perhaps the most timeless design ever seen in motoring history and as soon as it was launched in 1963 it dominated its class.. Today, albeit very much more developed, it continues to attract adulation from enthusiasts and the motoring press alike. In fact, the design was so well carried through that every line seems never ending and the car looks good from every angle. When Legaay, the 911 design director, was asked why the door shape had not been changed much in the past 30 years, he simply answered: "It's a good door." Improvements were however, many and varied. The model presented here benefits from a later three litre, fuel-injected motor with hydraulic chain tensioners, lightweight bumpers front and rear and sports bucket seats with which to ensure the driver remains focused on the task at hand. Performance has been further improved by the fitment of an anti-roll bar, sports steering wheel and 16in Fuchs wheels; very definitely, a driver's package. Manufactured in 1977, this car has had only three owners from new and it recently benefited from a ground-up restoration, since when it has covered just 500km. Described as being 'in new condition', it is finished in its original colour of metallic silver with a contrasting beige leather interior, the latter including re-trimmed sports seats. This pretty Porsche is supplied with its original service booklet and is ready to be enjoyed in the coming summer months.Seit seiner Erstzulassung im jahre 1977 hatte dieser 911 lediglich drei Besitzer, was der Originalbrief besttigt. Erst k?rzlich wurde dieser Porsche einer umfassenden Restaurierung unterzogen und in der Originalfarbe neu lackiert. Der Motor wurde ebenso revidiert wie die Innenausstattung einschlie?lich der Sportsitze, T?rtafeln und Dachhimmel erneuert. Auich die Fuchsfelgen in der Originalgr?e 6 und 7 x 16 Zoll prsentieren sich in gutem Zustand.
